We are in the final stages of releasing a new version of the firmware for the SiteMonitor Base3 and RackInjector Products. This is a major update which is the first step toward enabling a bunch of new features and capabilities that our customers have been asking for.
As it is impossible to fully test any firmware in a development environment, we need a few customers who are willing to install the firmware in their environment to verify proper operation.
If you are interested in testing the new firmware, please contact us at custsvc@packetflux.com.
Note: The primary focus of this firmware is to build a single firmware package which works across both our RackInjector and Base3 product lines and to bring underlying TCP/IP libraries up to date. Because the Base3 firmware has seen more recent major development, Base3 users will find only minor changes. RackInjector users will find quite a few new features. These features have been in our Base3 Product line for some time but were not previously backported to the RackInjector. This includes addition of Automatic Trip Recovery and Automatic Current Sensor offset adjustment. These will enable ports to resume operation after a trip, and will correct issues where current sensors are off by a consistent amount. These features have been present in our Base3 product for some time and this firmware brings them to the RackInjector.
We have released a new version of the code for the RackInjector to resolve various random reboot issues that certain devices have been experiencing. More details are in the firmware section below. If your device is experiencing random reboots, please install this update which is available below.
Newer RackInjector cards installed in an earlier chassis will likely require the firmware in the rackinjector to be updated before they are recognized.
The .pdf files below contain the documentation for the PacketFlux RackInjector. We would appreciate feedback about any problems encountered so that we can fix any issues. Our customer service email is custsvc@packetflux.com
We are a little behind in updating the documentation for the expansion card appendixes and related firmware screens. If you need help configuring a card in your device, contact us for more information.
